2024 Year of the Mamba Mentality

Happy New Year! Everyone knows about "The Goat" Kobe Bryant. He was known for his hard work, high scoring, and determination. He was young entering the NBA, but that did not stop him from entering a league, finding his way, and earning his title as the Black Mamba. "Hard work outweighs talent — every time," Bryant famously said. "Mamba mentality is about 4 a.m. workouts, doing more than the next guy, and then trusting in the work you've put in when it's time to perform."
In 2024, it's time to put in the work and time to perform. You are capable of many things, and you have many talents, but as Kobe stated, hard work outweighs talent. It's time to work hard. Many have wanted to become millionaires, but most millionaires work when all other employees are off work; they are constantly finding new creative ways and investments to go a step further. This year, it's time to go a step further. Do it in fear! Every job that you ever accepted trained you. You did not know how to complete the job like the company regularly do even if you have done the work before. This year, take on the same mentality. I DON'T KNOW, BUT I WILL LEARN. You have to stop waiting and wishing. No more procrastination! Just do it! This year, I encourage you to put in more work than before. You may not see the payoff quickly, but for every celebrity or famous person I have read about or seen the documentary, they were consistent even when there wasn't a payoff. They believed, and they kept going.
This year, consider these tips to get the mamba mentality going for 2024:
Create a routine: pick a time and day of the week you will work on the project or your business and stick to it. Cut off your phones or anything that distracts you. Ensure your family and friends know this schedule so that they know you are unavailable during this time. Set a schedule and stick to it.
Find motivational or personal growth books each month, such as Atomic Habits (reading it now). I am working on a list that I will be reading this year. (I will soon share) Also, find a webinar or book to assist you in your project or business. Always be a constant learner.
Create a team. You need help to do this work. Be willing to outsource any skills or jobs required. If you can't do flyers, hire a graphic designer. Whatever you need, get it done.
Invest in yourself. We can't expect others to invest in us (buy from us), and we do not invest in ourselves. You are worth the price. It doesn't matter what the cost is. Everything will not come DIY. You must find a mentor or someone doing the same and ask them to meet to discuss some information. Even inform them you are willing to pay. Information is not accessible, especially from someone who is experienced. Get over not wanting to ask for help or assistance. Get over not wanting to pay people for what they know. Knowledge is power!
Find an accountability partner or surround yourself with other entrepreneurs or like-minded women. (You can join the Purpose Pushers https://www.facebook.com/groups/686399253285810)
This year, go for it. It may not turn out right the first time, but trust me, you will learn from it. Do you know how many times inventors got it wrong? They kept trying, and they learned from what was wrong every time they got it wrong. They were then able to know what not to do again. Do it anyway!
You can do this! Happy New Year!
